An Opinion on Twilight

Twilight's gifts are in a dim slim beauty
As shadows lengthen different colors
Flow a pastel hew misting the Sun's dying
Dreams are growing in the darkness
Coming from behind the terminus approach
Held at bay with this fading light defenses
Arresting the loses of the daylight shields
Had brung us haltingly to this fatal precipice
Held between death and lifelessness
Still a sliver of life stirs startling stars
To sparkle in the darkening vailed sky
Until resolved to surrendering to the Night
So ends the day now just a memory filled
With the scattering images of light just killed
Enveloped in the dreams of Morphius' arms
We give in until again the returning Sun rises...
