We must hate ourselves

On 9/11/2001 America was scared out of its wits. I mean the entire population.

How could a hand full of Islamofascists, armed only with the unquenchable religious fervor of a Perfect Paradise awaiting them and box cutters take over 4 modern jet airliners, crash them one each into the two World Trade Centers in Lower Manhattan, New York, and into the headquarters of the nation's protectors, the Pentagon. With only one "failure" when the passengers fought back a forced it to crash in a farm field in Pennsylvania?

Many books, articles, documentaries, motion pictures, and miscellaneous scholarly papers have been written in the years since, yet the great American public has yet to come to grips with the reality in nearly 14 years.

Since then 2 "self radicalized" young men set off 2 crude bombs at a public even, an Army Lt. Colonel   and semi-failed Psychatrist has shot up an Army base, a few random acts of individual killings have occurred. Added to a few other random acts of insane random mass murders, America has become a population of paranoids.

In the wake of all this Congress, in its collective and defective "wisdom" has passed my laws with the intent of "protecting" us of any attacks by anyone. These misguided and poorly thought out laws have done more to destroy the fabric of American life than all other events in our history: The Revolutionary War, the 2 World Wars, the "police actions" in Korea and Vietnam, and the several "brush wars" never caused the hysteria that the attacks of 9/11 caused. They utterly destroyed Franklin's warning about giving up liberty for security. These laws have done more to destroy the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 9th, 10th and 14th Amendments to the Constitution than any foreign invasion and take over of our government by any alien power could ever have done. The Nazis and Imperial Japan have nothing on the self-inflicted destruction of the Constitution we've done.

We fought two wars, ostensibly, to "fight the forces of Islamic fundamental radicalism", essentially won them, only to have defeat snatched from the jaws of victory. Now, because of these intentional failures, we are facing foes even more radical and monsterous than those we defeated in Iraq and Afganistan.
