The Ice Maiden's Song

The icy caves surround your sound
Yet they can't cool your heat a bit
Your violin's commanding found
It shatters ice when your notes hits

Play on and on, Ice Maiden fair
Don't worry if the snows come unbidden
Because you with violin can flare
In flaming sounds that are never hidden

The cold winds sculpted these ice palaces
From water these solid forms are born
Your notes bounce of white blue places
You Winter respects and never scorn

Play on and on, Ice Maiden fair
Don't worry if the snows come unbidden
Because you with violin can flare
In flaming sounds that are never hidden

You slide across glass smooth surfaces
Your bow pulls the melody from the frozen
You pull on skates and tie the laces
Made of violin strings uncertain notions

Play on and on, Ice Maiden fair
Don't worry if the snows come unbidden
Because you with violin can flare
In flaming sounds that are never hidden
