A Lyric Question

There are other's dreams I can relate to
I've lived some in my twisted life for real
Most times Prince Charming to her rescue
At other times I failed because I was a heel

I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't replace the love that filed up my life
I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't see me ever taking yet another wife

I've been around this block too many times now
All the sights are boring and look the same
There can't ever be a new field for me to plow
My youth is gone and my heart has gone lame

I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't replace the love that filed up my life
I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't see me ever taking yet another wife

Somehow all women know that i am lonely
Is it something that's written cross my brow
I don't return any of their lovely smiles at me
My eyes are closed and my head is bowed

I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't replace the love that filed up my life
I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't see me ever taking yet another wife

She was my princess and my lady love
She was also a raging tigress in our bed
She flew away like a very startled dove
She left me standing alone in a place I dread

I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't replace the love that filed up my life
I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't see me ever taking yet another wife

Why can't I get over that she's dead and gone
Why can't I find someone to be my mate
I can not blame her for what our fate had been
I am just here in silent solitude and while I wait

I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't replace the love that filed up my life
I don't ever ever want to love like that again
I can't see me ever taking yet another wife
