The world dressed in darkness
Comes silently flowing
Like cats on padded paws
We undress our souls
To the beakoning fires
And dance in the devilish joy
Of the unfettered singing
The sounds of the screaming
The madness that must ensue more
Than angelic yearning
That flutter in winging
Calling us back to the light of the world
We join in the dervish
Spinning round the bonfires
Of our vanities baseless and cruel
One by one we are falling
Away from the knowledge
And the truth of the real that we know
Must be acted on sooner
Or lost insanity swirling
To the end of what we'll never know.
